Building your profile within Imagine Us is easy.  However there are a few things we do differently from other job sites that you should be aware of.

Getting Started

Simply fill out the forms as you go until you have completed all sections within your profile.  Once you have joined you will land at your profile page where you can cut and paste information from your current CV or free text info into the document.  The reason we do this is so we have a consistent profile that can be searched very accurately.

Important - Experience and Skills

You will notice at the top left of your profile there are some input boxes for Experience & Skills.  It is very important that you edit these areas and select what experience and skills you have from the database.

This selection allows the system to match your profile to jobs in the system and is also used by employers when they advance search the database for people.

If you have technical skills that are not in the database please feel free to contact us.  We are constantly updating both the Experience and Skills area of Imagine Us - lets face it, new skills and tools are coming out everyday.

Your Home Page

Once you have entered your experience and skills you should visit your personal home page by selecting this option from the left hand side menu.  The system will display any jobs that match your profile so you can consider whether these are options for you?  If you see a job you wish to apply for  -Select the job and use the apply option on the top right of the job page.

Photos & Portfolio

A photo turns your profile from a plain CV into a real person. 

Your portfolio can be used to upload exam results, educational certificates and of course for you creative types used to display examples of your work.

Keep in Touch

We are updating the technology all the time so it pays to come back to your profile (even if you are not actively seeking a role) at least once a month.  Also check us out on Twitter and FaceBook to get latest information on what we are up to and feel free to join discussions on how we can improve Imagine Us.
